AUSTRALIAN SWIMMERS THREE APPEARANCES CN WEST COAST Advice has been received by the secretary of the Otago Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association that the West Coast Centre has accepted Otago’s terms, for three appearances of the Australian team on the coast —at Reefton, Greymouth, and Hokitika—late in December. Word is still awaited from the Amateur Swimming Union of Australia that Messrs Clark and Tickle and Hellnirich (manager) have officially accepted the invitation, but advice has been received that they will be available, and the tour is due to commence late in November. Already definite acceptance of appearances have been received from Southland Centre (2), Oamaru Club (1), Otago Centro (2), Elmwood Club Christchurch, one appearance, West Coast (3), and Ashburton previously advised their acceptance of one appearance with the possibility of two being made. The Wellington Club is willing to stage an appearance if a suitable date early in the tour can be arranged, and the visitors will appear at Alexandra and possibly one or two other Otago country centres.
