MONETARY INQUIRY
COMMITTEE'S REPORT READY SHARP DIVISION OF OPINION (Per United Puses Association.] WELLINGTON, September 11. The report of the Monetary Committee, consisting of members of Parliament, which has been, several weeks in the Government’s hands, is to be tabled in the House this week. Characteristic of the wide differences of opinion on this question and the relation of currency and credit to the economic depression, it is not expected to be unanimous. Lobby opinion anticipates that the committee will be substantially divided on its recommendations into two groups, while Mr Downie Stewart, who resigned from the Coalition Cabinet on tlie monetary policy question, will present his own views in another minority report.
