OLDFIELD'S GREAT RECORD By playing in the final test W. A. Oldfield the Australian wicketkeeper, equalled the record of J. J. Kelly, who played in thirty-three of these contests between England arid Australia. Only one other keeper on either side has participated in more tests, and that is J. M‘G. Blackham, whose record is thirty-five, Oldfield, however, has accounted for more wickets .than any other wicketkeeper with the exception of tho Englishman, A. A. Lilloy, who, in thirty-two .tests, was responsible for the dismissal of eightyfour batsmen. In all tests matches Oldfield has now taken 108 wickets, 67 caught and 41'stumped. Seventyfive of these have been in EnglandAustralia tests.
