ANNUAL MEETING [Psa United Press Association.] ■WELLINGTON, September 10. At the annual meeting of the Wellington Racing Club the President (Mr E. L. Riddiford) stated that the club showed a profit of £155 8s 3d on the year, after writing off £3,800 depreciation. Pointing out that the club had paid £21.790 m stakes last year and £30,421 in taxation, he asked how a business could progress with such a mighty millstone round its neck. He was certain, however, that the club had good times ahead of it. Mr Riddiford was unanimously reelected president. •The following stewards were elected:—Messrs ; D. G. A. Cooper, J. Ci Crawford, D. M. Finlay, E. V. Rid' diford, and Dr P. F. M'Evedy.
