POWER BOARDS CONFER
NEED FOR CO-OPERATION fl’r.it United Press Association.l , WELLINGTON, September 10. A conference of power hoards’ engineers was opened this morning. The speakers included the Mayor of Wellington (Mr T. C. A. Hislop), who referred to several matters of interest in connection with power and the problems involved, particularly referring to the authorities trying to got together and find a policy that would be best for the country generally. Mr F. T. M. Kissell, chief elecrical engineer. Public Works Department, expressed the sincere hope that there would he a real spirit of co-operation to carry the industry forward. The industry had prospered during the year. The increases in units sold during tho quarter ended Juno was 8 per cent., which was larger than for a considerable time past, Mr J. M. Fleming, president of the Electrical Traders’ Federation, conveyed the assurance from that body of the wish to assist the development of the industry.
