HARRIS, Hon. Sec. JURA ANNIVERSARY. A representative committee has in hand the celebration of the 76th Anniversary ot the arrival of the sailing ship “ JURA,” which takes place on the 23rd instant. A service will be held in First Church on Sunday morning, 23rd instant, and the “ Jura ” passengers and friends will be entertained by the committee and others at an afternoon social on Monday, 24th instant, when afternoon tea and musical items will be provided, and an opportunity offered for social intercourse. In the evening a dance will be held in the Early Settlers’ Hall, when it is hoped that there will be a large attendance of the descendants of the “ Jura ” passengers. As the committee is desirous of forwarding tickets to all “ Jura ” passengers and descendants, will passengers and descendants please forward their names to the Secretary as soon as possible, so that invitation tickets may be posted direct to those intending to be present.' It is hoped to arrange that all the celebrations will be free of charge, but any small donations towards the cost of the celebrations will he gratefully acknowledged. A.
