The Hope of Caversham Lodge, 1.0.G.T., met, on Thursday, evening, when C.T., Sis. Leishmann presided over a good attendance of members. A 1 welcome was accorded' Sisters Mrs and Ina Cameron, who had been away from the lodge through illness. Greeting* from England were received and reciprocated. The Everhopeful Juvenile Temple was reported to be doing good work amongst the children. The programme. for the evening (Young Sis. ters’ Night) was successfully carried out, the following contributing items:—> Bros. Hilton, Restieaux, and Sis. Leishmann. Before concluding the session, Bro. Hilton, on behalf of the lodge and Juvenile Temple, presented Sis. D. Leckie with a present. An American who has just died has given all his money to a head waiter. We’ve often done that without dying. “ Lots of people who go to a race meeting' never see a horse run,” says a writer. They are too busy making sure .that their bookmaker doesn’t. An American doctor says that a vegetarian diet produces courage. We can well believe it. Think of the grit one gets out of spinach.
