[P*a United Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, September 8. “It is impossible to stop stealing in the Botanic Gardens.” said a member at a meeting of the Christchurch Domains Board. “We have had wooden fence posts, chains, fencing wire, plants, and" flowers taken. Wo have to post men in various parts of the parks to do nothing else but keep a watch. Wo must try to stop this somehow.” The Chairman (Mr H. Kitson) : There are more vandals in Christchurch to the square inch than anywhere else I know of. • The matter was left to a committee.
