LIGHTNING GENERAL STRIKE SIX PEOPLE KILLED IN RIOTING Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. MADRID, September 9. (Received September 10, at 9 a.m.) A lightning general strike was declared, paralysing the city, which was without taxis, trams, or newspapers. It was most difficult to obtain bread and other necessities. Much rioting was reported. Shock police, armed with machine guns, were stationed at principal points. five strike was called off early in tho morning. The casualties total six killed and twenty wounded.
