GNUS. Mr Bistany, superintendent of San Francisco Zoo, rang np a San Francisco newspaper. “Wo have some news about the Gnus,” he said. “Do you mean it’s new. Gnus? ” the news editor asked. “ Yes, new news about the new’ Gnu.” “ But,” said the news editor, “ all nows is now.” “Wo have some old Gnus,” Mr Bistany responded. “But I want to give you new Gnu news about the new Gnu that the old Gnus have.” “ Write it,” said the baffled news editor. So Mr Bistany wrote: “I was trying to give you some Gnu news about our two old Gnus that have a baby Gnu.
