DUNEDIN STUCK EXCHANGE A quiet market was experienced this morning, a reported sale of Bruce Woollen (ords.) al 13s being the only business recorded. The only change in the banking section was the easier market in Reserves, buyers at 28s 9d premium receiving a response from sellers 9d less than yesterday’s quote. National Insurances had a slightly improved buyer, but sellers required 4d more. Howard Smiths were wanted at 15s 9d, and there was an improved offer for Huddart, Parker prefs. There was a strong demand for all meat preserving shares, and Refrigerating contributing had a closer market as the result of an advance in the buyers’ offer. In the miscellaneous section, Crystal Ices had a wide market, Dominion Fertilisers gained a little, Electrolytic Zinc prefs. were quoted ex div., and showed a rise in price, Milburne Limes had an improved offer, and Woodworth’s (Sydney) were inclined to harden. New Zealand Breweries had improved support from buyers, but sellers still required 6d more. Dunedin were in strong demand at 28s, and Tooth’s shares had a margin of lOd between the quotations. There was an improved inquiry fop gold mining shares. Addison’s Elat advanced 3d, without eliciting a reply, both the Cromwell flotations remained in a weakened state, and increased bids were made for Golden Dawn, King Solomons, Nevis Diesels, Okaritos, and Wetherstones.
