NORTH DUNEDIN RELIEF WORKERS’ ASSOCIATION.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—Hu last evening’s 1 Star ' the report given of the North Dunedin Relief Workers’ Association is incorrect. The statement that all books etc., were handed over to the vicepresident has no foundation. I was present at the meeting, and owing to the chairman being in difficulties with the business the vice-president had to take tho chair. The minute book was then taken possession of, and afterwards a division was asked for in regard to the minute book, but was refused by the chairman, who then closed the meeting himself. Nothing was passed regarding the handing over of the books, etc., to anyone. # The secretary has all articles belonging to tho association, which is continuing to function, even though some of tho members have decided to amalgamate with the Labour Party. Tho Labour Party has three nominees to select from for Dunedin West, and the vicepresident is one of them. If the methods employed by him are part of his programme to sway the electors his way, then I sincerely hope that every clear-thinking person will be on _ his guard against bringing the party into ridicule when the time arrives for making his decision.—l am, etc., L. D. Hunter. September 5.
