PRICE OF MILK.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —“ Cheaper Milk ” has certainly voiced the sentiments of many of us in Mosgiel district. When milk rose in price from 4d to 5d per quart in Dunedin, it likewise rose in Mosgiel, and when it dropped again on August 1 to 4d I naturally thought it had done so here in Mosgiel, and you can imagine my surprise to find on my account yesterday that it is charged at 5d still. Had I known this I would certainly have reduced the quantity to enable me to keep within mV limits, as_ we are spending as much as we possibly can spare now for milk. I can assure “ Cheaper Milk ” that I will be only too pleased to support him in a changeover if lie can locate anyone to give us a fair spin.—l am, etc., More Milk. September 7*
