THE 'SPORTS SPECIAL '
FINAL ISSUE FUR SEASUN To-morrow night’s issue of the ‘ Sports Special ’ will be the last this year, and with an imposing list of some of the most important sporting events of the season, and the prospect of perfect weather, it should be a record, both as regards content and sales. The three first-rank local events that will be recorded are the Hockey Test, Australia v. New Zealand, the Otago-Wellington Rugby match, and the senior and junior Otago cross-country championships. Further afield are the Ranfurly Shield match Hawke’s Bay v, Auckland, the finals of the New Zealand Women’s Hockey Tourney, and the Wellington Trots. These events, and a large number of special articles and reviews, covering the sport of the day and week, will form the staple of this final issue, which, as always, will be liberally illustrated.
