Each Saturday a recipe or hint will be published in this space, specially recommended by the Home Science Extension Bureau Service. BAKED BANANAS. Sugar, $ cupful. Cornflour, 1 tablespoonful. Salt, i teaspoonful. , Bananas. 6. Dry crumbs, $ cupful., Boiling water, ] cupful. Lemon juice, i tablespoonfuls. Jelly (tart], 2 tablespoonfuls. Method.—Mis ‘ together the sugar, cornflour, and salt. Stir into this mixture the boiling water, and cook until free from "any raw taste. Add the lemon juice and jelly. Grease a baking dish. Remove the skins from the bananas; cut them into halves lengthwise, then.each half crosswise. Put, the cut • bananas into the baking dish and pour the sauce over them. Cover the top with crumbs, and bake' at 400 degrees Fahrenheit • until the bananas are soft and the crumbs brown.
