MADE UP FROM CHEST SYDNEY, July 15. By the plastic skill of surgeons, a girl who was faced with disfigurement for life has had a new nose made from her chest The girl, who was prominent in amateur theatricals, is now regaining her beauty at Sydney Hospital. For a long time she has had to submit to the process of having a tube of flesh and skin brought from her chest to the face iii what is known in surgical circles as the “caterpillar” method. ' The patient had an accident about a year ago. Her nose was broken and much disfigured. First of all seme of the flesh of her neck was cut and formed into a tube. The flesh was transferred by the “ caterpillarplan —serving the back portion of the tube and placing it in a position further ahead and, m this instance, finally across the nose. The flesh received further treatment and now the young woman is delighted to find that her charms are being restored.
