HARBOUR BOARD ASKED TO LIFT BAR DEPUTATION FROM ARAMOAHA The request that the Harbour Board should reverse its decision to prevent the public walking out on the mole at Aranioana was one of the matters which drew a deputation from the Aranioana Progress League to the board meeting last night. Mr Cassie endorsed these remarks, and said tho local residents were doing all in their power to protect Harbour Board property. He asked if steps could be taken'to turn away people with firearms and prevent them going out on tho mole. Tho speaker also protested against visitors being allowed to shoot gulls and other wild birds. After the deputation had withdrawn Mr A Cb Campbell gave notice that at the next meeting of the board he would move that the motion authorising the closing of the mole he rescinded.
