FORESTERS

The fortnightly meeting of Court Enterprise was held in the Court Room, Unity Buildings. Stuart street, ou Tuesday last, C.R. Bro. Steele presiding, all officers being present and a number of members also. The woodwards reported very favourably on the sick members. Invitations were received from Court King Edward’s Pride ’for May 24, old-time dance; from Court Queen of Green Island, for May 28, social evening; also a letter ■ from the District Ball Committee. : It was decided to attend both courts officially. Two brothers received letters of recommendation to visit other courts in the district they are residing in’ P.C.R.Bro. J. Patton reported on the visit to Court Pride of Leith, also Court St. Andrew. P.C.R. Bro. S. B. Brettell reported on. his visit to Court Pride of Dunedin, he also attending the anniversary ball of Pride of Heriot. Two candidates were initiated into the order with the usual formalities. I.P.C.R. Bro. Miller taking the second {fart, and S.C.R. Bro. Day welcomed the new brothers with the Foresters’toast. Three more nominations were received for next .court , night. The following courts were iiivited to the Scots night (Bro. N. McDonald) on June 12;—Court Pride of Leith, Pride of Dunedin, St. Andrew, Queen of Green Island. Robin Hood, and District Executive.' It was decided to call a special summoned meeting next court night to deal with the recommendation from the Surplus Committee re the surplus just to hand. P.C.R.s Bro. A. M'Naughton and W. M. Hogg reported on the dispensary meeting. . After tha meeting was closed Dr A. A. Reid gave a very interesting lecture, after which supper was served by the court officers.
