MENTAL PATIENT’S DEATH
CHARGE OF ILL-TREATMENT DISPROVED At the adjourned inquest concerning the death of a patient of the Seaciilf Mental Hospital, which was held at Seacliff to-day, the coroner (Mr H. W. Bundle, S.M.) found that charge* of ill-treatment of the deceased which were made by another patient were absolutely disproved, and the result ot the post-mortem showed clearly that there were no external injuries. A verdict was' returned in accordance with the medical evidence, which was that death was duo to cedenua and hypostatic congestion of the lungs, brought about by the deceased’s state of exhaustion and emaciation.
