BOWSER ROBBERY AND ASSAULT
TWO MEN COMMITTED FOR ' SENTENCE (Pbs United Peiss Association.] WANGANUI, May 17. As a sequel to the robbery at Bowsers Ltd. service station on the morning of May 10, when the night attendant, Herbert Quinlan, was wounded through being hit on the head with a batten, Herbert Woodham and Thomas Benjamin Raymond, two young men, were charged with robbing Quinlan of twenty-four packets of cigarettes, a pair of pliers, postage stamps, valued at 2s Gd, and 6s in silver, and immediately before the robbery wounding Quinlan. Both pleaded guilty, and wore committed to the Wanganui Supreme Court for sentence to-morrow.
