INJURED FIREMEN
CHARGE AGAINST MOTORIST (Pbk United Pkess Association.] WELLINGTON, May 10. Cyril Farquliar Chapman, aged thirty-three, a clerk, was charged in the Magistrate’s Court to-day with negligently driving a ear, thereby causing bodily injury lo R. E. Burns. Detective-sergeant Rcvell said that three firemen from the Mahia were knocked down at O.JO p.m. on Saturday hy a cai 1 which the police alleged was driven hy the accused. The car did nut stop. Two of the meu, Knight and Burns, were likely to bo in hospital lor some time. The other man, Coble, was to leave to-morrow with his ship. After Coble's evidence had been heard Chapman was remanded on had.
