NO RENEWAL OF MR BELL'S LICENSE BISHOP REFUSES FURTHER INQUIRY [Per United Press Association.] CAMBRIDGE, May 16. At the annual meeting of parishioners of St. Andrew’s Anglican Parish last night, the Bishop of the diocese (the Right Rev. C. A. Cherringtou), acting-vicar of, Cambridge, declared emphatically in reply to Ohaupo parishioners’ request that the Rev. Mr Bell’s affairs be further investigated, that the living of St. Andrew’s was vacant, that Mr Bell was no longer licensed in any capacity in the parish, nor would he (Bishop Cherrington) renew the license under any consideration.
Tho meeting carried a resolution unanimously approving the entire action taken by the Bishop in removing Mr Bell from office.
The meeting confirmed the appointment of the vestry and other officers elected at the meeting held on May The Bishop made a strong plea to the parishioners now to get together and restore the parish to its former influential position.
