HOME-MADE BOMB
MINOR EXPLOSION IN RESIDENCE A CURIOUS AFFAIR [Pee United Pkess Association.] GREYMOUTH, May 14. An explosion occurred early this morning in a house in Albert terrace next to the residence of Mr H. Morgan, S.M. The verandah was slightly damaged. It is reported that a fuse was found. Mr L. M‘Millar,, occupier of the damaged house, states that a miniature home-made bomb exploded at 1.40 this morning. A water lily plant was blown to pieces and a verandah board had a few chips knocked off. The explosion’s bark was worse than its bite. Air M'Millar said he had no enemies and did not think the bomb was intended for him. Airs Alorgan heard the explosion, hut declined to make any statement. Detective Knight and Constable Paddy found pieces of a fuse and parts of the “ bomb ” at the scene of the explosion.
