LEAGUE COMMITTEE'S ACCUSATIONS
MUNITIONS SUPPLIED BY AMERICAN FIRMS.
GENEVA, May 12 (Received May 14, at 9 a.m.)
The League Committee appointed to investigate the war between Paraguay and Bolivia, accuses the United States industries of supplying munitions to the belligerents who are using the most modern aeroplanes, armoured cars, flame projectors, quick-firing guns, and automatic rifles. The committee suggests control of the export of this equipment, and declares that the only hope of ending the war, which is described as singularly pitiless and horrible, is collaboration between the League, the United States, and the South American countries.
