STRIKE IN AMERICA
MOTOR BODY WORKERS Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. MICHIGAN, May 12. Nineteen thousand automobile -workers were idle on Friday night as the result of a strike in the Fisher body plant here. The strike, which involved 5,000 men, caused the Buick Motor Company to close its plant, and was in protest against a reduction in the piecework rates and a speeding up of the assembly line.
