OBITUARY
MR C. JAMESON [Per United Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, May 14. The death has occurred of Mr George Jameson, aged eighty-four, formerly a well-known farmer and business man. In 1895 he visited England, representing the Christchurch, Timaru, and Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Co-operative Associations, and founded the London office of the New Zealand Farmers’ Cooperative. Later he was secretax-y and general manager of the New Zealand Farmers’ Co-operative at Christchurch, and held that position for two years. Ho also for some time farmed in Hawke’s Bay, owning Aomarama Station. He was horn in Manchester, left England in 1863, and was educated at Christ’s College. He was a first-class Knight of the Order of St. Ola.v, Norway.

The death is announced of Mr Agar Wynne, a former Federal and State Cabinet Minister, and a prominent sportsman and racehorse owner. MR WILLIAM COREY AMERICAN STEEL MAGNATE. ’ NEW YORK, May 11. The death has occurred of Mr William Corey at his home here following pneumonia; aged sixty-eight. Air Corey rose from a Pennsylvania coal miner to become president of the United States Steel Corporation. His marriage to Mabelle Gilman, a musical comedy star, in 1907, when lie retired from the position of head of the steel industry, stirred two continents.
