HEAVY DAMAGES CLAIMED
[Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, May 11. ' A claim for damages arising out of si motor collision on May 27 of last year was heard before Mr Justice Herdman and a jury in the Supreme Court today. The plaintiff was Harold Victor Hunt, a draper’s assistant, who brought a claim against Lawrence Collins, a salesman. The total claim was for £2,413. A collision between the plaintiff’s motor cycle and the defendant’s motor car took place on the Waterfront road.The plaintiff alleged that it was due to the defendant’s negligent driving. The jury .returned a verdict for the plaintiff of £750 general damages, in addition to the special damages already agreed upon. Judgment was, therefore, entered for the plaintiff for £1,15C 18s 6d, with costs and expenses.
