Tho 1 Daily Herald’s ’ political correspondent says: “Mr MacDonald expressed himself strongly about isolationist propaganda outside the Cabinet and demanded that ‘ sniping ’ should cease.” The ‘ Daily Telegraph ’ learns that Cabinet has definitely reached the conclusion that it cannot place any fresh proposals before the conference on May 29, and recognises that difficulty will possibly be experienced in keeping disarmament talks alive, but it is felt that failure cannot be envisaged while the Powers are still meeting. The British delegation will examine all suggestions and approve of their discussion if they hold a hope of the slightest advance towards agreement.
