BLUE LIGHTS FOR HOSPITAL BLOCK OTAGO CLUB SUGGESTION |Pm United Pebis Ai»ocUTto«r.J CHRISTCHURCH, May 11. At the meeting of the South Island Motor Union the Otago Motor Club wrote stating htat the Dunedin City Council had experimented with blue lights in the hospital block. These’ had been a pronounced success, and the following remit was submitted for the quarterly meeting of delegates:— “ That blue lights be used exclusively for hospitals. 1 ' * : Mr W. R. Carey: I have, travelled over the North and the South Island by 'car recently, and big lorries travelling at night are becoming a menace.They carry big, overhanging loads, and it is most difficult to pass' them. A motorist is entitled to know what ho ,is meeting,,and these lorries should be 'made to carry a distinguishing light on the top of the cab. :• The Secretary: Representations have already been made to the Commissioner of Transport. It was decided to forward the Otago Club’s remit to the quarterly meeting of delegates.
