TRAMWAYMEN’S APPEALS
CHRISTCHURCH BOARD S TROUBLES "SHOT AT FROM BOTH SIDES" [Per United Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, May 11. Twenty-four appeals from members of the traffic staff of the Tramway Board were before the .Tramways Appeal Board to-day. The men appealed: against the derating which resulted ' when the first Appeal Board judgment was put into effect. Among the ap-1 pellants was A.- E. Armstrong, also a! member of the City Council. _ ’ Counsel for the board, said it had carried out the decision of the Appeal Board, and now it was being shot at from both sides.
