TO-MORROW'S FOOTBALL
RUGBY Two interesting games will be played at Carisbrook. At 3 University A. will, meet Kaikorai, For. some years now this match has always provided one of the best games of the season. While Kaikorai has not so far played up to expectations, the team is always at its best against University A. The latter side has shown considerable improvement since the commencement of the season, and its backs appear to be a much stronger combination than at the start of the season. The curtainraiser will bo the match between Pirates and Dunedin. The former has shown good football so far this season. The forwards, perhaps a little on the light side, display plenty of dash, while the backs are capable of giving a, good exhibition. Dunedin is a much improved side, the forwards particularly putting plenty of vim into their play, while the backs are also capable, of playing a good game. At Tahuna Park Union will meet Ziugari-Richmond, and on the University Oval Alhambra will meet University B. Taieri residents should witness a good game on the Mosgiel Recreation Ground between Southern and Taieri. Southern has a good side both back and forward, while Taieri has a strong forward pack. Ground members’ tickets are now available, and can be obtained at the secretary’s office. The O.R.F.U. Annual is also now available, and can be obtained at the Otago Sports Depot. Official Guides, which Will be on sale at the Otago Sports Depot, S. Jacobs, and at the grounds, contain interesting matter and notes oh players, SOCCER Continuing the Fletcher Cup competition, two fine senior games will he played at the Caledonian Ground. At 1.30 the two youthful teams RoslynWakari and Mosgiel will meet ; and as both sides are composed principally of promising young talent, the game should provide keen football and a close finish. Much interest will no doubt be displayed in the following game at 3 between Northern and High School Old Boys. These teams play fast and exciting football, and being well matched spectators should witness an exciting game. The remaining matches of the series are Maori Hill and Technical at Prospect Park, and Seacliff and Morningtou at the Gardens. RUGBY LEAGUE City and Athletic will meet at the Oval, and a keen game should be witnessed as Athletic, a young side, can force the pace. Christian Brothers will play Pacific at Chisholm Park.
