TOURNEY ENDS TO-DAY [Special to the ' Star.’] AUCKLAND, May 10. After yestedray’s games the position of the junior hard court teams championships is;— Boys’ singles: A. D. Brown (Auckland) is to meet C. Penfold in the final, the former having defeated the strong Wellingtonian N. A. Morrison. Girls’ singles; Ruby Wilson (koutbland) and Margaret Beverley (Waikato. the holder of the title) defeated the Cantcrburians Joan Senior (0-4, 6-4) and Dorothy Dickey _ (6-o, o-0. 6-1) respectively, and meet m the final. The Invercargill player created a nne "TlTßrown and J. W. Mayson (Auckland) won the boys’ doubles. They beat the Canterbury pair L J. Corich and P. M'Grcgor in the semifinal, and then won the final from R. Pattinson (West Coast) and A. Alien (Kaipara), 6-1, 6-4. The West Coaster did well also in reaching the quarterfinals of the singles, where he lost to Brown, the likely victor. The girls’ doubles holders, Senior and Dickev (Canterbury) meet the Wellingtonians Jessie Burns and Ina Small in the final. ... In the mixed doubles there are still five pairs left, including I. J. Conch and Dorothy Dickey, the only southerners. . ... The tourney terminates to-day, with the interisland match in addition.
