DAIRY PRODUCE QUOTA
NO NEED FOR ANXIETY BRITISH GOVERNMENT'S INTENTIONS Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. HAMILTON, May 9. In a specially cabled message received this morning, Mr Dynes Fulton, who is at present in London investigating the dairy produce import and marketing conditions on behalf of the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company, states; — “ There is absolutely no need for anxiety regarding a possible quota on dominion dairy produce. A reliable authority whoso name cannot be disclosed, states that nothing will be done by the British Government in the direction of applying restrictions until just before tlie expiry_ of the Ottawa agreement. The dominion will then perhaps bo asked to accept a ‘ stand, still ’ agreement for a short nominal period during which time arrangements will be made to effect a comprehensive limitation of foreign supplies. Following that, the position will be stabilised in the dominion’s favour.”
