WEDDINGS

FARR A—STEEL. Blooms of a pale shade made a beautiful setting for the marriage in First Church on April 17 of Anne, second daughter of Mr and Mrs Alex. Steel, lloslyn, to Richard Joseph, younger son of the late Mr and Mrs T. R. Farm. Dunedin. The Rev. G. H ■ Jupp performed the ceremony, with Miss Westhand at the organ. On entering the church with her father the bride made a pretty picture. being gowned in a frock of snowy white organdie, the tight-fitting bodice having a soft lace cowl neckline and puff sleeves. Her billowy skirt was finished at the hemline with four frills to form a train. Her very long, foamy tulle veil fell from a Juliet cap ol lace, studded with sequins and orange blossom clusters. A pale pink and white arm sheaf of sweet peas and roses completed her toilet. She had two attendants. Mrs Peter Rodger (as matron of honour) was frocked m pale green crushed organdie, moulded to the figure, with four frills falling from the knees to the ground, three-tier puff sleeves, and Peter Pan collar. Miss Nancy Ainge, as bridesmaid, was frocked in palfe pink crushed organdie, moulded to the figure, with six godets covered with tiny frills, which fell from the knees to the ground, frilly capulets and Peter Pan collar. Both wore ■sequin bows at the neck and sequin tiaras well back on their heads. They carried pastel arm sheafs to tone. Mr P. W. Rodger acted as best man and Mr J. A. Steel as groomsman. The reception was held in the Strand Salon, where Mr and Mrs Steel received the guests. Mrs Steel was attired in a gown of dull green wind-swept crepe, with hat to match. She carried a bouquet of rich cream roses. Later, when the couple left for the north, Mrs Farm was dressed in a nigger-brown suit and dark musquash fur coat, with brown fur felt hat and python shoes.
