Additional New Zealand junior hard court tennis results yesterday, affecting Otago and Southland hoys, "are:— " DOUBLES. —First Round.— L. White (Marlborough) and Ti. O’Connor (Nelson) beat P. Sinclair (South Canterbury) and F. Leo (Southland), 6-1, 3-6, 6-3. L. Watkins and C. Penfold (Canterbury) beat F. Boyd and F. B. Kerr (Otago), 5-6, 6-4, 6-1. GIRLS’ DOUBLES. —First Round.— Ruby Wilson (Southland) and Dora Shirtciiffe (South Cante; rbury) beat .loan St. George and Anne BurgcsWatson (Auckland), 5-6, 6-3, 7-5. —Second Round.— Jessie Burns and Ina Small (Wellington) beat Mavis Kerr and Maud Wilkie (Otago), 6-2, 6-2. MIXED DOUBLES. —Second Round.— P. M'Grogor and Joan Senior (Canterbury) boat F. B. and Mavis Kerr (Otago), 6-2, 6-1. Ruby Wilson (Southland) was .still in this event with F. Lee when play ceased yesterday, and the same girl also reached the quarter-finals of the singles. The tourney should finish on Thursday if fine. The weather was glorious on Tuesday and to-day. There are forty competitors, from Invercargill to Kaipara, and southerners arc happily billeted, and enjoying themselves.
