During the past month the weather conditions have been distinctly favourable to pnstoralists, for the country has experienced a phenomenal amount of rain, particularly during the past week. Conditions on Monday 1 were much better, with bright sunshine prevailing for most of the day, and the indications are now for frost. The rivers are abnormally high, but once the frost sets in they will quickly fall and any danger of flood will rapidly vanish. Speaking at the annual meeting of the Cromwell Aero Club, held last week, the chairman (Mr J. R. Munro) stated a feature worthy of note and probably unique in the history of aviation in this dominion,, was the fact that of our four Hying members three were brothers, Messrs R. J. Bell, J. F. Bell, and W. Tl. Bell, all of whom had qualified for their A licenses.
