GRAND NATIONAL STAKES INCREASED [Psa United Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, Bay 9. , The Canterbury Jockey Club has decided to increase the stakes by £5lO for the Grand National .Meeting. The Winter Cup will be worth £'soo instead of. £4OO. The annual report states that the season’s operations showed a debit of £414, but the club’s liabilities have been ‘ reduced by £3,865.
