AUCKLAND’S MILK SUPPLY
PRICES DEFINITELY FIXED LOWER RATES FOR RELIEF WORKERS [Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, May 4. The Auckland Milk Council this morning, after a long discussion in which sectional interests wore apparent, decided to fix the price of milk to the consumer at 5d a quart loose and 5Jd bottled. Vendors may, at their discretion, supply relief workers with milk at 4d. The council also resolved to grant to the Hospital Board and other charitable institutions the right to contract for supplies at Is a gallon. Tt was further decided that the producer shall receive 9d a gallon and the vendor Sid. while 2id was allocated for cartage and treatment. i
