ORKNEY AND SHETLAND CHOIR

ANNUAL MEETING The annual meeting of the Orkney and Shetland Choir (ino.) was held in the R.S.A. ]looms, Moray place. There was a good attendance of members and supporters. The president (Mr Sinclair), moving the adoption of the annual report and balance-sheet, spoke of the choir’s activities during the past year. He congratulated members on the favourable balance-sheet. The choir had attained a successful standard, and he trusted that in the coming year it would do even better. He made spiecial mention of Miss Baxter’s work as conductor, and also thanked those performers who had rendered items at the monthly concerts. During the year five concerts had been given in aid of various unemployment committees. Finally, ho thanked all those connected with the choir for their support and enthusiasm, and wished them every success in the coming year. Mir Reid, seconding the motion, endorsed the president’s remarks and also mentioned the good attendance at choir practices.
