Mr Wallace Johnston, of Auckland, left Dunedin by the 11.35 train today. Mr L. W. M'Caskill, of the Christchurch Training College, has been on a visit to the Soutlilaud Education Board, and passed through Dunedin this morning on his way, back to the Cathedral City. 1 Mr S. C. Doyle, Railways Department bus manager, and Mr W. Bishop, assistant chief accountant, came from Invercargill this morning, after an official visit, and propose to leave for Wellington to-morrow. Messrs W. F. Abel, F. E. L. Forrester, and D. Forsyth left for Wellington to-day to attend the annual meeting of the New Zealand Educational Institute. Dr James Moffat, the distinguished Biblical scholar who was to have visited New Zealand in June, does not now expect to arrive in the dominion until November. Mr J. P. Popley (London), Mr J.F. Hammond (Melbourne), Messrs K. Pallo, F. H. B. Nixon, and E. 0. Macpherson (Wellington), are among the guests staying at the Grand Hotel. Mr Robert M‘Kinnon, LL.B., and Mr Russell Gordon Napier, LL.B., were admitted by Mr Justice Kennedy this morning as barristers of the Supreme Court of New Zealand. Mr MTximion was proposed by Mr J. M. Paterson and Mr Napier by Mr C. B. Barrowclough. Registered at the City Hotel are Mr and Mrs H. E. Ellwood (Christchurch). Miss H. M. Tait (Oamaru), Mr and Mrs P. Graham, Mrs P. Wallis (Gore). Mr and Mrs J. N. Matthews, Messrs W. M. M'Leod and E. Ostlaud (Mandeville), and Mr and Mrs J. Morris (Edendale).
