Mr C. R. Chisman, organising director of the Empire loan collection, left Dunedili this morning for Christchurch. From that city he proceeds to Wellington, Wanganui, and Auckland, leaving the latter port on May 11. Mr R. B. Tennent, the newly-ap-pointed director of the Fields Division,Agricultural Department, _ left to-day for a short “visit to Wellington. His leave-taking of this city will be at a later date.

Mr V. R. Anderson was a passenger for Auckland by the 11.35 train to-day.: Mr Donald Macdonald, of Edendale, left for the north this morning. Mr J. K.
