TORNADO IN INDIA
DEATH AND DESTRUCTION Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. CALCUTTA, May 2... Twenty people were killed and a large number injured, and considerable damage was done to property by a tornado which passed over Sylhet and suburbs last night. Numerous 'houses were blown down, and telegraphic communications cut. A Government launch and a number of cargo-laden country boats sank in the River Surma. Many are reported to be missing.
