TOM KATZ BALL
Seldom is such an opportunity given dancers in Dunedin to dance to a band of more than dominion fanm as will be afforded at the Tudor Hall to-night, when a Tom Katz ball will be held. The celebrated saxophone band, which has been a distinct success at the Empire Theatre, will make merry on its last night in Dunedin by providing the latest in dance strains. No finer dance band has been heard in Dunedin; its music is an invitation to dance that cannot be denied. -■ The dance 7 is being held on a very appropriate night, as many visitors will be in Dunedin for the races, and those who have enjoyed a day’s trotting could look forward to a no more pleasant way of rounding off a day’s sport. The Tudor Hall will make a beautiful setting for the ball. Dancers know how infrequently they are able to dance on the finely-polished floor with surroundings of charm and refinement, and the announcement of this ball at the Savoy has been welcomed. The Tom Katz Band will make a characteristic entrance at 9.45 p.m., and dancing will continue, with only an interruption for a delicious supper, for over four hours.
