LEAGUE PLAYERS MANY APPLICATIONS FOR REINSTATEMENT [Per United Press Aseocixtiok.] WELLINGTON, May 2. Tho largest number of applications for reinstatement to the Rugby Union game from Rugby League players that the New Zealand Rugby Union has had at one time was dealt with at tonight’s meeting of the Management Committee. The majority of the 113 applications came from Auckland and Wellington, but Canterbury, the West Coast, and North Auckland figured prominently in the list. “ All the League players must be now back in Rugby,” remarked one member of the committpe. The Secretary (Mr A. E. Neilson) said he had had a new cabinet installed to cope with the large number of applications. Among the reinstatements which were approved were those of C. I). Management Committee by the annur meeting, Mr Dean suggested that i meeting should be held with the Mam executive.
