SHIPMENTS TO EUROPE QUOTA NEARLY EXHAUSTED Pres* Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, May 1; (Received May 2, at 11 a.m.) The ‘ Yorkshire Post ’ says that the Argentine Government may shortly be compelled temporarily to prohibit Aim export of wheat to Europe. If the exports continued at the present rate ol 3,500,000 bushels weekly the quota would be exhausted at the end ot May. The Argentine must either cease European shipments till September 1 or sacrifice Brazilian and other local trade. Shipowners arc worried, as the Argentine shipments are the end source of employment for tramp shipping.
