WOMAN’S HOCKEY
MEETING OF EXECUTIVE At the weekly meeting Aliss Hill presided over a full attericlance of executive members. : Before the ordinary business of the meeting Aliss Hill addressed the team captains and club secretaries on matters pertaining to the game. There was ti very gratifying attendance, and the question of reporting matches, flags for sidelines, removal of goal' posts, and other matters of interest were discussed to the benefit of both players and the executive. The following transfers Were granted :—Aliss Tither, Gore Ex-High School, to Otago; Aliss Stewart, 0.G.H.5., to University. Aliss Yorston, delegate to N.Z. W.H.A., forwarded a full report of the annual meeting. The voting at that meeting was in accordance with instructions forwarded i to Otago delegates. In this connection it was pointed out that the word “no ” had been missed out in the Press report, which had altogether altered _ the, motion passed. The correct wording ik “ That wherever the headquarters of the association may be no member of the executive of the local Women’s Hockey Association or any of its sub-associa-tions be eligible to occupy a seat on the management of this association.” A letter was received from the town clerk re grounds allotted and charges. ’The secretary was instructed to acknowledge, same, and draw attention to the unsuitable goal sockets on the North Ground, these being so shallow as to make the posts unsafe. The following were appointed a Postponement Committee;—Misses Hill and Adams and Airs Nelson. The secretary was appointed to meet the Primai'y Girls’ Hockey Sub-committee with regard to grounds. It was decided that, commencing from Saturday, May 12, matches commence at 1.30 and 2.45, the latter time being altered from 3 o’clock.
