CONGREGATIONAL MEN'S LEAGUE
The annual meeting of the Otago Congregational Men’s League was held last evening in Moray Place Congregational Church Hall, the president (Air W. R. Sinclair) being in the chair. The' annual report, detailing the events of a pleasing and profitable season, and the balance-sheet were adopted, the secretary (Air J. A. APCall) being complimented upon his excellent resume of the year's doings. Several members made reference to the value of the league meetings from an educational point of view, as well as from the aspect that the men of the various churches in the district wore brought into close association. It was suggested that the membership might bo extended by a personal canvass in the various churches. The election of office-bearers resulted;—President, Air K. G. Roy; vice-presidents, Alcssrs J. A. Wilkinson and D. Connor; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr J. A. APCall; committee—Messrs J. Tonkin, G. Ahernethy, W. T. Facer, J. H. Crawford, .1. Abcrncthy; Alusical Committee, Messrs R. Ahernethy and John Connor; Press reporter, Air J H. Ahernethy. Several suggestions for the .syllabus wore made, and it was decided that the first meeting should be held at Port Chalmers. It was decided that grettings should he sent to Mr W. Croft and the Rev. James AI. Smeeth. A vote of thanks fo the ladies of Moray Place for providing hospitality was carried.
