ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
WOUND IN THROAT. Henry Wallace Laraman, aged sixtysix, a retired man, living m Avonhead road, Upper Riccarton (Christchurch), was found dead in the bathroom of his home yesterday. Death was apparently due to a wound in the throat, and a razor was found near the body. Laramim had been in ill-health lately and previously had been in hospital suffering from nervous troubles. He had been employed as greenkeeper of the Harewood Golf Club until recently. DEATH AT HOTEL. An inquest was held yesterday afternoon on the’ body of Edwin A. Tanner, the Wellington business man, who died suddenly in a local hotel early yesterday morning. Mr H. W. Bundle, S.M., sat as coroner, and Sergeant Vaughan represented the police. Dr W. Evans, in giving medical evidence, expressed tho opinion that death was due to heart failure, and a verdict in accordance with that evidence was returned.
