SURF LIFE SAVING

To-morrow, at St. Clair Beach, the local club is holding its final gala of the season. The efficiency of the St. Clair teams has now reached a very high standard,'the club being not only successful in defeating the Sumner team this year, but also in annexing the Otago six-man premiership recently held at Oreti Beach. To-morrow afternoon, however, team work will he set aside, and the public will be afforded the viewing of a series of events to decide the champion beltraan of the club; and, with such fine_ swimmers as “Wally” and Syd. Jarvis, Reg. Geddes, Peter Mathiesou, “ Duke ” Gillies, Charlie Durand, etc., competing, some excellent performances are fully assured.
