DISCOVERED IN WALL
HOLY SWORD OF THE TSARS MISSING SINGE REVOLUTION Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. WARSAW, February 6. The missing Holy Sword of the Tsars has been discovered built into a wall in the Winter Palace in Leningrad. The sword, which is as old as Romanoff history’, is marvellously worked. It is a Cossack sabre. The pommel is embedded with thirty-six large diamonds, each commemorating a famous victory. The sword was usually a part of the Crown Jewels, from which it was missing after the revolution. It was accidentally discovered during repairs to the wall. A card attached to the sword read: “The Holy Sword shall not fall into the hands of the enemy’.
